My name is Andrew Butler and I'm a web designer/developer and search engine optimisation specialist based in Preston, Lancashire, UK.
I've worked in the advertising and design for print industry since 1993. Over the years my career has continually developed until the beginning of 2001 when I first started to explore the possibilities that lay within the arena of web design and the internet.
I'm currently working for Piranha Advertising and Marketing Solutions in Preston, during which time I have been key to the development of their internet product. I'm involved in all aspects of website production from initial planning and concepts, through to design, production and successful launch.
Many of Piranha's clients opt for a continuing programme of search engine optimisation. I manage all aspects of website SEO which include, keyword research and analysis, competitor analysis, both on and off-the-page optimisation, link building, content development and PPC campaigns.
I consider myself to be an excellent all round designer and I'm proficiant in many of todays leading software applications such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Imageready, Illustrator, Flash, QuarkXpress and the Microsoft Office suite.
I can expertly hand code in XHTML and CSS, producing eye catching website designs that meet the latest W3C web standards. I'm also proficiant in ASP connecting to MS SQL or Microsoft Access databases and have a basic working knowledge of Javascript.
I have produced many bespoke content management systems to support the dynamic websites in my portfolio and have experience in developing eCommerce solutions using applications such as Actinic which integrate into third party payment gateways.
